The Main Port consists of three general
cargo berths which presently handle salt,
break - bulk, general cargo and containers,
and two dry bulk berths one of which handles
crushed stone and the other has been leased
to an international oil company. The Ferry
Terminal serves a truck and rail wagon ferry
to Baku.
The objectives of the Turkmenbashi Port
Development Project is to address these
problems by renovating the Ferry Terminal
and Main Port infrastructure.
