A Construction management and Technical Asistant contract has been signed for Assaluyeh Pethrochemical Port in Iran.

ECAP Engineering and Consultancy Co. has signed a sub-contract with Ghararghah Sazandeghi (GHORB NOOH) where the GHORB NOOH has undertaken the construction of a Petrochemical Port in Pars Special Economic Energy Zone for Engineering and Detail Design and Supply of Materials and Construction.

The port is planned to serve the new petrochemical plant to be built by Iranian Petrochemical Company. The Project consists of a deep water port with two rubble mound breakwaters with the main breakwater extending to approximately 30m water depth. The port area has a water depth of 16m or deeper with several berths located along the reclaimed land and some others located behind the breakwaters. The berths located along the reclaimed area are block type quay walls where the ones located behind the breakwaters are piled structures. The breakwaters are rubble mound type with 14t antifer armor layer.

ECAP's scope within the overall Project is the provision of Construction Management and Technical Assistance Services and transfer of know-how for the construction of breakwaters and gravity type block quay walls and material management (including a short term consultancy in quarry exploitations) and provision of some site staff support.

Total Contract duration is 1 year.
