The assigned team begins with a performance audit of the contractor's costs and prepares accordingly an independent estimate of costs of the contractor, which may be recovered under the contract (e.g., suspension of work, unforeseen site conditions, changes clause) or under alternative breach of contract. The damage review will include an analysis of the contractor's efforts to mitigate its damages and analysis of the method employed to calculate damages.
