The purpose of the project was to design and install a water conveyance pipeline system, in order to serve the coastal area agricultural projects, to the west and south – west of Tripoli . The water will be conveyed to these areas by means of a conveyance pipeline which originates from the end point of the Eastern Branch of Hasouna _ Jefara main conveyance pipeline, a point known as the Tripoli Tee. In addition to the conveyance pipeline and appurtenant structures, there will be a total of nine water storage tanks, located along the pipeline, offset about 1 km, and spaced at regular intervals. The study contained 68 boreholes, 32 test pits, 73 electrical resistivity surveys, 17 plate load test and the geological mapping.
